Your stance, my friend, is the solid ground your whole throw builds upon. If your base isn't steady, even the best grip and throw won't hit their mark consistently. We want to minimize any wobbles and maximize your balance, giving your throwing arm the freedom it needs.
You've got a few options: the front-on stance, the side-on stance, or the angled stance. The front-on stance can feel balanced but might restrict your arm a bit. The side-on stance lets your arm move really linearly. The angled stance is a mix. Whichever you choose, make sure your weight is firmly planted, usually on your dominant foot, with a slight lean forward. Your feet should be about shoulder-width apart – that's your stable foundation. Practice holding that stability all the way through your throw, from when you step to the oche until the dart finds the board. A strong stance truly is a game-changer for your accuracy.
