In competitive darts, my friend, you might face bad calls from the scorer or even distracting scorers who, intentionally or not, break your focus. As your coach, I'll tell you: how you react to these moments really tests your mental discipline.
If you think there's a bad call, stay calm. Politely but firmly question the score or the call. If the decision stands and you still disagree, accept it and immediately shift your focus back to the game. Dwelling on what feels unfair will only hurt your performance.
For distracting scorers (e.g., talking loudly, moving around too much), again, politeness is key. A simple, "Could you please be a little quieter/still while I'm throwing?" can often solve it. If not, then really lean into your "strong bubble" and pre-shot routine. Train yourself to filter out irrelevant noise. Remember, your ultimate goal is to win the leg, and letting outside annoyances control your emotions gives your opponent an unfair advantage. Keep your composure and focus on your darts.
